Personal Data Processing Policy

This Policy applies to the Nezavisimy Android and iOS applications and the API at api.nezavisimyy.ru. It does not replace the independent policies of app stores, the payment provider, or external platforms.
Principles and legal grounds
The Operator processes only data necessary for defined purposes, does not combine incompatible purposes, keeps data accurate, and limits retention. Grounds include entering into and performing the user agreement, separate consents, legal obligations, and a legitimate security interest that does not override user rights.
Data categories
Depending on selected features, processing may cover account and profile data; user content; habit and dependency settings; check-ins and calculated progress; challenge participation; profile country and, for Russia, region for the anonymous aggregate map; technical and security logs; push tokens; support requests; purchase and refund data; and analytics data such as pseudonymous installation and device identifiers, an advertising identifier when available under operating-system settings, app and OS versions, device model, IP address, install source, screen and technical-event names, and crash information.
Recipients and infrastructure
- Yandex Cloud / Yandex 360 infrastructure in Russia — storage, API, sign-in codes, and service moderation;
- YooKassa — payments and refunds; card details are not received by the Operator;
- RuStore Push or Apple Push Notification service — notifications after the user’s choice;
- Yandex MapKit — map requests only when the map screen is opened;
- AppMetrica — install and session measurement, product analytics, crash diagnostics, and attribution, without raw internal user_id, email, name, or personal-journal content.
On iOS, IDFA access is requested through App Tracking Transparency and is available only after the user allows it. On Android, an advertising identifier is transmitted only when available under platform rules and device settings. Precise analytics location is disabled. Service notifications require device permission and can be disabled. Advertising or promotional notifications require separate prior consent; system notification permission alone is not that consent.
Community and challenges
The community feed is available only to authenticated users. Publishing an insight or comment separately confirms display of that text and the selected name to other authenticated users. Insights are pre-moderated. Authors may delete content, report material, or block another author.
After a user joins a challenge, the nickname and daily states for that goal are shown only to current authenticated participants of the same challenge. Avatar, email, country or region, notes, and other habits are not shown. The user may leave at any time. Support may be a prepared phrase or short text; recipients may report a message and block its sender.
Retention and user rights
Account and tracker data is kept until account deletion or the end of its purpose; publications until deletion by the author or moderator; and backups until scheduled overwrite. Minimum evidence of consent, deletion, payment, and refund may be retained as required by law or to protect the parties’ rights.
Users may request information, correction, blocking, or deletion; withdraw consent; and appeal to Roskomnadzor or a court. Account deletion is available in Profile. Other requests may be sent from the account email to admin@nezavisimyy.ru.
